Every design begins with research — the founding date, the original name, the landmarks and traditions that actually make a town what it is. Shrewsbury wasn’t just “established” sometime; it was laid out along the York–Baltimore turnpike in 1797 and incorporated as a borough on August 9, 1834. That kind of detail is the whole point.
